Frequently Asked Questions
How do I submit a paper written in LaTeX?
LaTeX is a typesetting software used by many of our clients. If your paper is written in LaTeX, please copy and paste your raw text (including LaTeX tags) into a Microsoft Word Document and submit it along with a PDF of your paper for reference. We will work around the LaTeX tags as we make our revisions, and you will be able to review each revision easily in Track Changes.
Do you edit Tables, Figures, and Footnotes?
Yes! We always edit these unless asked not to.
I have parts of my paper I want you to ignore. How do I calculate the word count?
You can calculate your word count using only the text you want us to revise, leaving out things like the reference section or the reviewers' comments in a Revise & Resubmit document. If you want us to ignore part of your paper, please tell us in the "goals" section of the submission form.
Do you work on weekends?
Yes! For example, if you submit a paper on Friday morning (US time) with 2-day turnaround, you will receive the revised paper by Sunday morning (US time).
Do you work on holidays?
Usually! However, the Thanksgiving (4th Thursday in November) and Christmas (December 25) holidays fall during our busiest season. To ensure that a qualified editor is available, we may need to add one day to the turnaround time if it overlaps with one of these holidays. Feel free to check with us in advance. We will always do our best to accommodate your schedule.
